Backend .NET Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer that specializes in using .NET and C# to join our remote team. Cactus is a fast-paced interdisciplinary design studio that will require you to be nimble, self-motivated, and hands-on. We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $180,000 annually, with additional benefits, bonuses, and incentives. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experiences, skills, and fit for the role.

• Develop software for our clients, shipping work daily within a healthy SDLC.
• Collaborate with our growing engineering team across a variety of projects. You may be the single engineer on a project, or working on a much larger team. If alone, we’ll make sure you’re not working in a silo continuously and have the support you need to succeed.
• Work to ensure a high code quality with tests and documentation. This is a priority for working with digital healthcare products.
• Evaluate and communicate engineering solutions and trade-offs with teammates and other, potentially non-technical teams.
• Collaborate with our Strategy, Design, Product, and Architecture teams on building world class digital products and experiences.

• You act with foresight. You plan ahead and mitigate risks in advance.
• You identify what’s important to fight distraction. You keep the end goal in mind and prioritize accordingly.
• You walk in the client’s shoes. Whether it’s the client or the end user, you build products to meet all user needs.

• 4+ years of professional experience building .NET / C# applications.
• Strong understanding of the .NET framework and C#, used to support web-based applications.
• Ability to collaborate with our front-end engineering team, supporting a React Native interface for iOS and Android applications.
• Willingness to write clean, scalable, and tested code within a team.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to integrate with various data sources that our clients bring to each engagement for the apps we build.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
